1. What does it mean for a lawyer to be Board Certified?
A Board Certification means an attorney is a specialist or an expert in a certain area of law. Board Certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar as it relates to the competency and experience of an attorney. The majority of lawyers that practice criminal law are not certified, but those who are have taken the extra steps and done the extra work to have their extreme competence and vast experience in the area of criminal law recognized. A Board Certified Criminal Attorney is the type of expert lawyer you should have on your side.
2. What areas of law do you practice? Do you focus Exclusively on Criminal Law?
At Conan and Herman, P.A., we are criminal law specialists. Although we do handle injunctions and traffic citations since these types of cases often go hand in hand with criminal law, over 90% of our practice is dedicated exclusively to criminal defense.
3. How many criminal cases has your law firm handled? How many trials have you done?
We have each handled over a thousand criminal cases in our career. Between both attorneys at the firm, we have over 150 combined criminal jury trials between us.
4. Are you a member of the Florida or Local Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers?
Yes. Each of us is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the local Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Being a part of this network of attorneys provides a distinct advantage to our clients because of the close relationships and friendships we have established with other lawyers in our field of criminal law.
5. What sets you apart or makes you different form the other lawyers in the area?
